A popular ‘antipasto’ (not really sure what other word to use here) in Pennsylvania is pickled eggs. They’re eggs. They’re pink. They’re a little sweet with a lot of tang, and despite the atrocious aftermath that may result, they are delicious.
Strongly connected to my Italian culture, I've made 30+ trips to Italy over the past 30 years. Whether spending time stateside or in Italy with 'la famiglia,' I have spent a lifetime learning traditional family foods while submerging myself in every aspect of the Italian culture - including cheese and salumi-making, canning, gardening, baking, and crop-to-table home-cooking. My passion for food is just one ingredient in my recipe for life - I savor 'la dolce vita' one bite at a time and enjoy singing, writing, working, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends. I participated on CBS's The American Baking Competition, which premiered May 29th, 2013, and I currently work for reCAP Mason Jars.
