Three Things Thursday: July 26, 2012

Once again it's Three Things Thursday, where I highlight three things that ran on the site in the last week that inspired, intrigued or impressed me. Here's this week's picks:

Pickled Fruit
Pickled Fruit
Fruits are not just for jam. Many fruits, from blueberries to peaches and plums to apples, pears and persimmons all take pickling very well. Don't knock it till you've tried it!
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then imagine how much more story you can tell with moving images. Video is one of the most powerful tools for information sharing, especially with regards to DIY food. Here's a few favorite videos of DIY food projects.
Pickled Chard Stems

Got a big hank of chard in your CSA box and don't know what to do with it all? Trim down those stems and put 'em up as a tangy pickle!
