Preservers Pull Together to Help a Friend in Need

A few weeks ago, food blogger and Punk Domestics contributor Jennifer Perillo tragically lost her husband to a sudden heart attack, leaving her with two young girls. The entire food blog community has rallied in support of her, and a non-profit has been formed to collect funds to help her through this difficult time.

That includes a number of folks within the Punk Domestics community, and they've all got spectacular auctions and raffles of goods to select from. So shop around, find something you like, and give a little to help out a dear friend in her time of great need.

A Mega-collection of Preserves
Kate of Snowflake Kitchen has rallied the troops, corralling jars from many preservers (including yours truly). One lucky winner will get:

A Personal Touch
Kaela at Local Kitchen will design custom jam labels just for you, making your jars the talk of the town. Don't believe me? Go see the ones she's done for herself. Girl's got talent.

The Gift of Knowledge
If you live in the New York Metro area, the delightful Emily of Nomnivorous (perhaps the best blog name EVAH) will come to your house and give you a personalized, one-on-one cooking class in your own kitchen. Whatever your culinary predilections, Emily will tailor the lesson to your needs and desires. I assure you there'll be much merriment as well.

A Sip and a Tipple
I've got a raffle going on my personal blog. It's got nothing to do with preserving or cooking, but I still think it's pretty bad-ass. An anonymous wine collector friend of mine has ponied up $600 of completely rad California cabernet, and it can be yours, all yours, for as little as $50. What a bargain, right?

Of course, if you're feeling exceptionally magnanimous, you could just plain give money in exchange for nothing other than the warm fuzzy feeling you get from helping someone in need. And you can do that by clicking on the badge below. It's that easy. Whether you're angling for one of the amazing prizes above or no, I hope you'll find it in your heart to give.
