I hit the jackpot a few weeks ago at the Whole Foods annual peach sale, where I bought a 25-pound box of Georgia peaches. After making peach jelly, peach mustard, peach jam, and peach butter, I decided to make peach chutney with figs.
Our family's go-to canned salsa. We make as much as we can (sorry, bad pun) and enjoy it all year long! By adding the peaches late in the process they retain their shape and make the salsa look very nice in jars!
Ripe peaches, sweet cantaloupe, a little bit of almonds and voila! A gorgeous summer jam. Peaches are at their height, the perfect partner for the translucent nuggets of ripe cantaloupe in this jewel-toned beauty.
