Morel hunting adventure and what to do with your meager loot.
It’s a cool, rainy day. We are in the wilderness, hiking through bushes and trees, noses down, eyes scanning the forest floor, hunting. In my pocket is a knife, a net bag and hopefully, my car keys. It’s not big game we are after, it’s morels.
If you should be so lucky as to have more morels than you can eat fresh within a few days of picking, then drying is a good preservation method. Instructions also included for freezing and canning.
