Grapefruit infused gin is a favorite libation at my house. It only takes two ingredients and you can make it in 15 minutes. Preserve them while the fruit is sweet, flavorful and acidic, as citrus quality wanes over time.
Bourbon barrel aged ginger rum is spicy and smooth with a smoky caramel finish. And while you don’t have to age it in a mini barrel (it tastes pretty darn good raw), the barrel aging makes the rum taste amazing.
