A quick and easy rhubarb and elderflower compote recipe. This seasonal Summer recipe is ready in less than 30 minutes and great served over a good vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt for a simple dessert.
The pretty flowery onion vinegar is a snap to make (2 ingredients!) & great used as a finish to pan sautéd proteins, greens & veggies. Also works well in salad dressings & dirty martinis with a chive blossom pickle sunk in the bottom of the glass.
Got a few kids to keep busy, or a lovely summer day with no plans? Pick a few handfuls of honeysuckle and make honeysuckle infused sugar. A great topping for cookies, or to sugar the rim of a cocktail glass!
I enjoy making my own concoctions at home. Infusions are very easy to make as you simply combine ingredients in a jar and let it sit for a while. I came across this post and couldn’t resist trying out a raspberry infused vinegar.
Lavender is fantastic. Lavender and Vanilla is amazing. This is the Reigning Queen of lavender jelly in my opinion. The vanilla provides a beautifully delicate element to an already eloquently soft flavored jelly.
I have always loved Indian food, and this flavor combination I can always seem to find in Indian desserts. Oh my, is it heavenly; subtle, sweet and exotic. I am excited to start playing around with different drink recipes including this syrup!
