I have been getting some negative feedback about not being able to use cornstarch since it's so readily available. I wanted to show you what happens when you use this to can your pie fillings. It's clumpy and unstable and not appetizing by any means.
Just "put up" this apple pie filling now (during apple season), and you will enjoy locally-grown apple pie in the middle of winter! A quart size jar will make one 8-9 inch pie OR a terrific gift at the holidays! What could be better than that??
